inexpensive option near the train station

Location: 150 m from the Napoli Centrale/Garibaldi railway and metro stations. Very convenient to travel to Sorrento, Pompeii, Positano etc. (although the trains are very unreliable). You will have to walk through a shady street but it didn't feel dangerous to me, just shabby and littered (as most of the city). Keep in mind, that it's not the best part of Naples if you want to walk around a lot. Noise: the street is a dead-end, so there's not much noise from outside. However, there's a secondary railway track right in front of the hotel which is quite noisy with windows open. If the windows are closed, there's no problem at all. Room: I booked a standard room with twin beds - got something like a "family" room with a kingsize bed and a single bed in the living room. Quite spacious, airy and bright room, didn't look too old. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom needs a renovation but everything worked well. I didn't get how to use the aircon (it seemed to work in its own mode) but it wasn't necessary anyway. Staff: friendly, good English, quick check-in/out. Breakfast: very bland and not well-organized. I'm comparing it with another Ibis Styles where I stayed 5 months ago. The previous one had fresh orange juice, excellent pastry, a selection of herbal teas and infusions, fresh ripe fruits, lactose-free products. This breakfast had no fresh juice (just a watered-down chemical concentrate), pastry wasn't very fresh (croissants were especially horrible), no lactose-free milk or yogurt, fruits were mostly tasteless (too green), no grain muesli (just cornflakes), fried eggs were mostly lukewarm and not replenished fast enough. There seemed to be a nice selection in general but once you started picking the food - there wasn't much choice and it was exactly the same every day. I wouldn't book it the next time. Overall, a good inexpensive stay.

Loved this hotel. The rooms were spacious and modern and the breakfast surprisingly large and varied with good quality products. Well insulated and maintained to a high standard. The front desk is very efficient and security conscious, making sure that all bags in left luggage are protected and that credit cards etc are legitimate. A very well placed hotel, no more than 5 mins from the station and airport bus and close to some excellent restaurants, I'd highly recommend for a short stay.

Very fine hotel. Easy to find, clean. Had no issues. Very close to the train station and close to other restaurants. The only downside is the city of Naples is a quiet town and everything closes by like 8 or 830 at night. We still had a great time.

I stayed only for a night. The hotel is located just in front of Garibaldi Metro station,with line 1 ,you can easily reach Municipio which is in the city centre. Room are a bit dated but cleaned and efficient with balcony. Breakfast was super,really good. Staff are excellent . I really enjoyed my stay and I wish to be back soon.

€180 for one night, the most expensive Ibis hotel I've ever stayed in. The room was small, dated, bed not comfortable and TV was a small screen and not Satellite TV. For €180 (excluding breakfast) I'm expected much more. Staff were excellent and the scrambled egg also wonderful! Will not be staying here again
